Darkrai's Return 1

It was a regular, beautiful evening in Treasure Town. The sun shone down from a partly cloudy sky, making the large cloud puffs multiple bright colors and the air was crystal clear. 

Team FightFire, the world famous Explorer Team known for saving the world from time stopping forever, were heading over to Spinda's Café to get some drinks after apprehending a criminal earlier in the day. Misty the Vulpix, the team's leader, happily trotted next to her partner, Rio the Riolu. "I'm so glad that we finally got that Water Stone back to Eevee," Rio said happily. "Now she'll be able to evolve into a Vaporeon." Misty nodded but sadly. She had always wanted to evolve but the spirit in Luminous Spring had said both she and Rio could never evolve any farther because of some time rift that surrounded their beings. It made them stay in their current forms forever. 

Misty looked down and sighed. Rio saw this and became worried. "What's wrong, Misty?" he asked. She shook her head. "It's nothing, Rio..." she mumbled. He patted her back lightly. "I know you wish you could be a Ninetails but it's impossible! And don't be upset cause I can't evolve, either. We'll make it, even in these forms, ok?" he smiled wide at her. She returned it with a slight blush lingering on her cheeks. "Now... Last one to Spinda's is a Wynauts egg!" he laughed before dashing off to the Café. She giggled and ran after him. "Wait up, Rio!" she cried out. 

A little into the nearby forest, a Sableye watched both Pokemon closely. It cackled evilly before jumping into the thick brush, dashing off to find its master. 

Less then a few minutes later, the Sableye ran into the deepest, darkest part of the Mystifying Forest. The sun never touched the ground from so much foliage in the canopy. No other Pokemon besides Dark and Ghost type dared to live here, especially of the rumor of the area being haunted by actual ghosts! 

The purple Pokemon raced down an underground tunnel until he reached a pitch black opening. No light seeped through any crack or hole this deep. But, of course, the Sableye could see perfectly well in the darkness due to its crystalline eyes. 

A black figure hovered at the other end of the opening, clawed hands behind its back as it stared longingly at a photo. "Master," Sableye called out. The figure hid the picture in even darker shadows so that the Sableye couldn't see it. "What is it?" it asked in its deep voice. "I found her, hehe, in Treasure Town," Sableye replied. The beings icy blue eyes flashed wide and turned to look at the crystalline Pokemon. "Are you sure this time?" it asked urgently. Sableye nodded. "Oh, I'm going to be treated so well for this! Hehe!" Sableye thought giddily. "This is perfect!" the being cried out happily. "I've finally found her, my...Misty..." it took the photo out from the shadows to show a red-headed human girl. 

She was young, maybe 16, and had dark blue eyes. But the figure only saw her as the Vulpix she was now, the only Vulpix that existed that had dark blue eyes. It made her that way so she could be with it. It sighed happily and pressed the picture against its rounded out chest. "Finally..." it set the photo down and raced out of the cave but not before tossing a few crystals to the giddy and hungry Sableye.
